My Grammy Review

Last night was the 2015 Grammy Awards and it was a night of fabulous red carpet looks, and of course- some fails. Some amazing performances, and some awkward, and obnoxious (*cough* Kanye West *cough*) So lets break it down, Finigan Fundamental's style.

Red Carpet Break Down:

Finigan's Fundamental's Favorites:

Taylor Swift in Elie Saab is a turquoise ombre day dream, topped off with those bright shoes? I'm in love. The shoes are the perfect contrast to the gown. And the accessories are so simple, yet so complimenting. I am in love with it all.

Kat Graham in a gorgeous white Yanina Couture gown.
Two words. Game Changer.
This is absolutely stunning. I am in love. I know this dress may cause some debates for best or worst, but I am obsessed. Head turning detail, accessorized with Sophia Webster heels, a Swarovski clutch, Carrera y Carrera rings, and AS29 earrings- this Vampire Diaries star is killin' it!

The Black Dress was no stranger to this year's Grammy Red Carpet. With Ashanti in Michael Costello, Ciara in Alexandre Vauthier, Beyonce in Proenza Schouler and Nicki Minaj in Tom Ford- the black dress was indeed a hit, a very sexy one.
What black dress red carpet look did you like the most?

Anna Kendrick wearing a tailored Band of Outsiders suit couldn't be any cooler. A suit can go either way- and Anna's went fabulously. She completely kills it with the plunging neckline complimented by her naturally wavy swept hair. I love the fact that she didn't wear any jewelry and kept the neckline simple. The only change I would potentially make is maybe a pop of color in the shoes. But even then, I'm loving the black on black.

I wasn't sure about this one, and it may because I'm not a huge Katy Perry fan, but after really looking at this fabulous fringe Zuhair Murad dress- I realized i'm actually pretty obsessed. Its sexy, yet 1920's classic. I love that she held back a bit, and went classier and just used her purple hair as an accent. Usually I find her way too busty, and trying too hard to "stand out". I applaud her on this one.

We can't forget about the fellas. Correspondent AJ Calloway in unknown, Common in his tailored Givenchy suit (I love the black on black on black), John Legend in Dolce & Gabbana and Dierks Bentley dapper John Varvatos Suit.

Finigan's Fundamental's Not-So-Favorites:

Madonna, Madonna, Madonna. I don't care about what people say about you or  your body- this Givenchy outfit sucks. Its tacky, trashy and I think literally the opposite of "Red Carpet". Get it together.

I may get a lot of flack for this, but I hated Rhinna's frothy Giambattista Valli Haute Couture. I don't need to say much else, the images below speak for me.

Ew.

Again...Ew.

 Break Down of the Show:

Finigan's Fundamental's Favorites:

Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga killed it last night singing Tony Bennett's "Cheek to Cheek". I was so happy to see so many oldie collaborations at the Grammys this year, it definitely blew away many of the "newer" songs that could've been preformed. Bravo for bringing back the good tunes!

John Legend and Commons amazing performance of Glory.

Ed Sheehan's performance of Thinking Out Loud...simply because thats my favorite song ever.

Finigan's Fundamental's Not-So-Favorites:

Need I say more? Yet another Grammy Award Show that he makes me hate him even more than I already do. At first, everyone thought it was a joke- so I kind of laughed it off, in a "that's not that funny" kind of way. But then after seeing his interview after the show- it was clear that it wasn't a joke, and even more clear that he's the worst.

Kanye West is my only "Not-So-Favorite".
