Bobbles & Lace: Accessories

I came across this small boutique, Bobbles and Lace, one Spring afternoon as I was walking down Newbury Street in Boston. I absolutely fell in love with the place. I originally went into Bobbles and Lace in desperation to find a last minute gift- which then resulted in me purchasing multiple products from this store for myself instead. But I couldn't help it. The moment I walked in I wanted everything to be mine. From the tops, jackets, bottoms, shoes, sunglasses and last but not least- jewelry; I was hooked. Not to mention the reasonable prices, especially for a Newbury Street location! Finigan's Fundamentals has gathered some of it's favorite pieces to share- but make sure to check out their website, and whenever you're in the Boston area- their store!

I absolutely love these pieces- nothing like a big piece of jewelry to spruce up any outfit. The first piece, the "brushed gold hammered chest-plate necklace" is the perfect accessory to make a bold statement to a simple outfit. The second necklace, the "favorite chest-plate necklace" has the same design as the first one- yet is made of mixed metals, bringing in that turquoise look. This necklace is also reversible, giving you a "plain dirty gold" option.

One of the things that really caught my eye, was the boutique's ability to turn bright colors and unusual shapes into an amazing piece of jewelry that could be worn for multiple occasions. The "Enamel Necklace" (on the left) and the "Enamel Chest-plate Necklace" (on the right) are some of my favorite "funky" and colorful necklaces for this fall. The colors have faded from the neon's of the summer, but still manage to give the pop any fall outfit could need. They also are well accented by the gold linking.

Bobble and Lace's "Two Tone Cheetah Print Scarf" (also available in other color varieties) is one of my favorite. I love how the cheetah print is subtle and the color tones are soft, a much different approach than the bold cheetah prints often seen elsewhere. Great fall tones for this season!

"Skull Clutch with Gold Font Studs" is a hard case clutch that will go great for those nights out on the town. A classic look with a punk-like twist makes this both elegant and trendy. A hard-shell clutch is this seasons must have!

Sweater Season!

This is one of my favorites. The "Biege Long Sleeve Geometric Eyelet Embellished Knit Jumper Sweater" from SheInside.com is loose and casual for any cozy fall outfit. The geometric patterns give this sweater character.

"Stripes Loose Sweater with Pocket", also from SheInside.com, comes in a variety of colors, all with a larger pocket on the right with a leather trim. The large stripes and the oversized style allow this sweater to be flattering, comfortable, and fashionable all at the same time. Would pair great with a pair of skinny jeans or leggings and a pair of fall boots!

"Khaki Long Sleeve Asymmetrical Cardigan Sweater" is a comfortable cardigan to throw over any outfit to keep warm and still look good. I love the loose, asymmetrical style mixed with the Aztec designs- great sweater to pair with riding boots. This sweater is from SheInside.com.

This sweater is yet another of my favorites, the "Multi Three-Quarter/Long Sleeve Top- Bat Sleeve Striped Sweater" is a fun spin on rolling the colors of the Summer right into Fall. The mint contrasting with the black and white stripes makes this sweater fun and unique. I am also a huge fan of the "bat sleeve". This sweater can be found on ustrendy.com.

This "Off-white Sweater-Round Neck Bat Sleeve Beige", found on ustrendy.com, is a thicker sweater to keep you cozy this season as the temperatures begin to drop. The casual style makes it perfect to pair up with some leggings and lounge around the house, or you can throw on some boots and turn it into a fabulous fall day outfit. This sweater, too, has "bat sleeves" giving the ordinary sweater, some character.

Boot Season- Here At Last!

"Whitney" riding boot from Bakers. I am in love with this boot for this fall season! The black and camel-brown combination is fantastic here and makes for an easy shoe to pair with any outfit! Maintains a very casual fall boot look, while also bringing something unique to your outfit this season.

I am in love with these "Ash Ton C" ankle bootie from Bakers. Another example of a great black and camel-brown combination shoe. The cap toe against with the faux suede , topped off with a killer heel, makes this fall boot unique, chic, and the perfect touch for that perfect fall outfit.

The "Noland Taupe Suede" ankle bootie by Steve Madden is the perfect boot for your casual outfit. Without even trying, take a pair of skinny jeans, an oversized T-shirt and a jacket- and pair it with these grey and brown booties, and you have one stylish fall outfit- just like that!

This black and gold "TONIGHTT" bootie by Steve Madden is this upcoming fall and winter season's must have to dress up any outfit- giving it that sexy and glamourous look. The black suede, fold over collar with gold detail, rounded pointed toe with gold caps, and the sharp four-inch heel make these ankle booties absolutely killer.

DSW's wedge bootie, "Michael Antonio Cane" is the simple, yet perfect, touch you need to complete your fall outfit this season. The wedge and style of the bootie allows it to be worn casually as well as to dress an outfit up. The colors, red and grey (also available in black) are two amazing colors to finish off your fall look.

Gold Envy

I have fallen in love with gold. Whether its as an accessory, or an outfit, gold has become a new favorite. Its great to dress anything up or give that "pop" you are looking for. Here are some fabulous gold products that are must haves!

"Walk Like An Egyptian Reflective Gold Collar Statement Necklace" I am in love with this look, simple yet extremely bold. Perfect touch to an outfit.

High Waist Gold Sequin Shorts for only $40 from Mickey's Girl. Adorable, fun, and functional shorts to dress up with. With the high waist, you could match them to either a cute crop top, or a tucked in shirt- finished off with a great pair of pumps.

"Gold Druzy Stud Earrings" from Marcia Moran for $108. Simple yet elegant. The round border makes the gold sparkles "pop!", making them the perfect small touch to complete an outfit.

"Ring Wire Wrapped Cocktail Jewelry" found on Etsy for $38. Unique, Elegant & Fabulous.

Gorgeous "Devotion Cocktail Dress" from Esther Boutique. Soft and elegant, with a touch of gold at the neckline. Great use of gold to make the dress stand out with character and class.

"Wonder Woman Cuff" from tobi.com, is a great addition to any outfit to give it that gold appeal.

It's all about the clutch

I have fallen in love with the concept of a clutch. Not only is it smaller than lugging around a big purse- and bigger to fit things in besides just some cash and credit cards-But clutches also can make (or break) any outfit. It dresses them up, and gives an outfit the "pop" that it needs to be great, chic, stylish, elegant, and fun!

"Jungle Cat" Clutch  by Street Level. I love the clash of coral and leopard print in this clutch. This color is a great color to brighten up any outfit, and the leopard print is the perfect pop to go along with it. Making any ordinary outfit stand out!

"Mail Me to Miami" Clutch from ModCloth. I love the vintage look of this clutch, with the soft mint color down below, and the strong bright pink on top. Very gentle to go with a great spring outfit.

"Oversized Leather Clutch" by Stoic. I love the white zipper against the leather camel, gives some contrast to the single colored bag. I am also a huge fan on the oversized fold over clutch.

"The Missy Clutch" from Furor Moda is the perfect addition to any outfit, simple or not. The solid-one colored clutch can do just as much for an outfit as any multi-colored, multi-patterned clutch can, especially in this color! I also am crazy about the "envelope fold" style that this clutch has.

"Diagonal Clutch" from ASOS. I am in love with these two colors, joined together by a fold over closure and separated by a diagonal gold bar. The grey part of this clutch features a block design, giving it addition character. Very classy.

"Zara Inspired Gold Sequin Clutch Bag" by "IMADEITbyMars", found on Etsy. I am in love with this bag. This small touch of sequin is just enough to spruce up any outfit. Perfect for going out. The style of this bag is simple, which balances the gold sequince perfectly.

"Oversized Black and White Striped Zippered" Clutch by Krust, found on Etsy. I am in love with this striped clutch. You can never go wrong with a simple black and white accessory, and the thick stripes will surely give your outfit the touch that it needs.

what time is it?

ASOS Pastel Jelly Watch. Both sophisticated and fun. Love this color mixed with the gold. Both very big this year. Great accessory to add with other gold bracelets to add a pop.
ASOS Animal Print Watch. Great touch of leopard print that can really give any outfit some extra personality. I love seeing small touches of animal print scattered within an outfit- and this watch does the trick!
ASOS Color Block Watch. Very simple and chic. The thick vertical black line gives the watch a sense of character.
Marc Jacobs "Large Blade" Leather Strap Watch. Love the gold and tan leather strap combo; as well as the simple face.
